Senior Data Engineer
Company Description
Nexus Spark Group is working with a large international pharmaceutical company that are looking for there first Senior Data Engineer. Working within a small team of other data related people they want someone who can lead from the front. Work with stakeholders, drive and deliver technical excellence, advise on best practice and also create lasting pipeline solutions.
Role Description
This is a full-time remote role based from home but you will need to get to their London office when requested. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain highly scalable data pipelines and systems to support complex business operations. Key responsibilities include developing and managing Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, implementing data models, maintaining data warehouses, and supporting analytics and reporting functions. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and quality.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Data Engineering, including designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Data Modeling and creating efficient and scalable data structures.
- Proven experience in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools for data integration.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and their application in business environments.
- Familiarity with Data Analytics and the ability to extract valuable insights from data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in languages such as SQL, Python.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms like Azure is ideal
- Extensive experience within Snowflake
